So what is a home inspection?  A home inspection is really a limited evaluation. That can be confusing and somewhat hard for many people to understand, and I don't blame them.  When most people think of a home inspection in Nashville, Franklin or Spring Hill, they think it is a complete analysis of everything in and around the home.  But that is simply not the case. The great state of Tennessee had a series of  bylaws in place called the Standards of Practice. These are meant to provide the homeowner with a list of areas that are covered during a home inspection in all Nashville areas including; Smyrna, a home inspection in Murfreesboro or a home inspection in Chapel Hill. This gives the homeowner a clear reference point. It also gives a clear description of what is not covered in a home inspection in all Nashville areas including; East Nashville, Fairview and Thompson Station.  It is beneficial that the standards a read through so the client understands what limitations an inspector has.  This will help clear up any misconceptions or issues that develop that were simply not in the scope of the home inspection.
